Robot Chicken is a satirical, surrealistic American T.V. show, started back in 2005. Seth Green and Matthew Senreich created and produced this animated T.V. series for Adult Swim. The co-head writers include Douglas Goldstein and Tom Root. Robot Chicken, based on dark humor based comic strip called “Twisted Toyfare Theatre” which appeared in ToyFare. It’s from The Toy Magazine. Robot chicken mocks and makes a parody of popular culture, celebrities, popular fads. It also takes along anime cartoons and older television programs.

This show was first released in the USA in 2005. Later in Australia and the U.K. in the same year. In 2006, the first episode was aired in Brazil, Japan, Argentina, Canada, France, as well as in Russia.

Robot Chicken – How The Journey Of Dankness Started

A mad scientist finds a road-killed chicken on a stormy night.  To re-create it into a cyborg, he takes it to the lab. Toward the camera, the chicken turns his laser eyes. The mad scientist straps the chicken into a chair and uses calipers to keep its eyes open. The scientist makes the chicken robot watch a bank of T.V. monitors. This scene subtly gives the references of a famous Stanley Kubrick Movie, called “A Clockwork Orange” and an American/British superhero comic book, known as “Watchmen.”

However, at the beginning of the sixth season, the robot chicken comes upon the body of a mad scientist. It does to the scientist the same thing that the scientist had done to the chicken. The Robot Chicken adds robotic parts to the scientist, turning him into a cyborg. Moreover, he gives the scientist a laser eye of blue color.

This show contains nine seasons and 179 episodes. This popular T.V. show contains three Star Wars episodes and three D.C. Comics special episodes.

Popularity –

This popular T.V. series scores 7.7 out of 10 on IMDb. Most of the viewers like this show for its dark humor and smart representation. In many of the fans’ opinion, this show resembles with American T.V. shows South Park and Family Guy.

However, some of the viewers didn’t like it for extreme darkness, violence, and abusive language. Some said Family Guy which often resembles this is a better T.V. series.

Hold Tight, Because Season Ten Is Coming –

 It was confirmed at San Diego Comicon 2018 that the tenth episode is supposed to start from 29th September 2019. But the team behind Robot Chicken revealed that episode 10 wouldn’t have Ryan Reynold, the Deadpool. Since Reynold cannot lend his voice for this role.
